SmartDV’s SDIO Host IP is a silicon-proven, fully featured Secure Digital I/O host controller solution purpose-built for SoC designs requiring reliable, high-performance connectivity to SD Memory, SD I/O, and Combo cards across mobile, IoT, consumer electronics, and embedded applications. Fully compliant with SD Host Controller Specification v6.0, SDIO Physical Specification v6.10, and Part E1 SDIO Specification v4.10, it delivers complete host-side SD and SDIO functionality with support for SDMA, ADMA2, and ADMA3 DMA modes, 1-bit, 4-bit SD bus mode, and SPI bus mode, covering all UHS-I speed modes from SDR12 through SDR104.

Designed for the practical integration requirements of modern storage-intensive SoC designs, the IP supports SD Memory cards, SD I/O cards, and Combo cards, with single byte, single block, and multi-block finite and infinite transfer operations, suspend and resume, read wait, and card detection. Its ADMA3 support for descriptor chaining, comprehensive DMA mode coverage, and clean host bus interface give SoC teams a production-tested, spec-complete SDIO host controller that connects seamlessly to the widest range of commercial SD and SDIO peripheral devices.
