SmartDV’s eMMC Host IP is a silicon-proven, fully featured embedded MultiMediaCard host controller solution purpose-built for SoC designs requiring reliable, high-performance embedded storage connectivity across mobile, automotive, and embedded computing applications. Compliant with SD Host Controller Specification v4.10 and JESD84-B51B and earlier eMMC versions, with JEDEC eMMC CQHCI Command Queuing support, it delivers complete eMMC host functionality across 1-bit, 4-bit, and 8-bit data bus widths with SDMA, ADMA2, and ADMA3 DMA modes.

Designed for the demanding performance requirements of modern mobile and embedded eMMC storage designs, the IP supports Enhanced Strobe for high-speed data validation, tuning block command (CMD21), Single and Dual Data Rate timing for read/write operations, HS200 and HS400 high-speed modes, and single byte, single block, and multi-block (finite and infinite) transfer support. Its Command Queuing support for improved random access performance and standards-compliant host controller architecture give mobile and embedded storage SoC teams a production-tested eMMC host implementation.

Built for design flexibility and silicon efficiency, the IP core is highly configurable for both ASIC and FPGA implementations, with a strong focus on area optimization, power management, and peak performance.
