SmartDV’s USB PD/Type-C Verification IP is a comprehensive solution for verifying USB Power Delivery and USB Type-C interfaces, the unified protocol and connector standard enabling flexible power negotiation, role swapping, and alternate mode data connectivity over the USB-C connector. Fully compliant with USB Power Delivery Specification Revision 3.2 and backward compatible with 3.1, 3.0, 2.0, and 1.0, alongside USB Type-C Cable and Connector Specification Release 2.5 and backward compatible with earlier releases, it supports complete verification of USB PD and Type-C functionality across TYPE-C, TYPE-B, and TYPE-A interfaces, cable plug communication, and all defined reset types including Hard, Soft, and Cable Resets.

SmartDV’s USB PD/Type-C VIP supports UVM, SystemVerilog, and Verilog, and integrates seamlessly into diverse verification environments. It is simulator-independent and compatible with all leading EDA simulators, providing flexibility across simulation platforms.
