It supports Type A and Type B operation, multi-target activation for simultaneous management of multiple targets, chaining for transmission of information exceeding a single block, configurable timing functions covering Guard Time, Frame Delay Time, Frame Waiting Time, and Waiting Time Extension, and comprehensive error detection across seven error types with automatic retransmission of corrupted messages, enabling validation teams to exercise corner-case NFC behavior that is difficult to reach with production RTL alone.
Built for fast compile times and efficient resource utilization on hardware emulation and FPGA prototyping platforms, the transactor is fully synthesizable and platform-independent, deploying without modification across any major emulation or prototyping environment. Its dynamic post-activation reconfiguration of PCD and PICC transfer speed and frame length parameters, combined with on-the-fly protocol and data checking and testbench notification of significant events, enable rapid deployment for early software bring-up and NFC system-level validation regardless of the underlying emulation platform.
