SmartDV’s DisplayPort 1.x Transmitter IP is a fully featured DisplayPort transmitter solution purpose-built for SoC designs requiring reliable, standards-compliant display video transmission across consumer electronics, industrial display, and embedded graphics source applications. Fully compliant with DisplayPort 1.4a, it delivers complete Source-side transmitter functionality supporting Main Link, AUX Channel, and Hot Plug Detect, with all standard DisplayPort link rates and comprehensive Secondary Data Packet generation for audio and metadata transport.

Designed for the practical integration requirements of modern graphics source SoC designs, the IP supports RBR, HBR, HBR2, and HBR3 link rates, AUX Channel access to DPCD and I2C-over-AUX for EDID and EEPROM reading, Main Stream Attribute packet generation, and both Default and Enhanced framing modes. Its support for VESA DSC video stream compression, HDCP content protection compatibility, and full and fast link training give graphics SoC teams a production-ready DisplayPort transmitter suited for a wide range of display sink and monitor configurations.

Built for design flexibility and silicon efficiency, the IP core is highly configurable for both ASIC and FPGA implementations, with a strong focus on area optimization, power management, and peak performance. Its parameterized lane and link rate architecture and clean host interface enable fast integration across a wide range of process nodes and target applications.
