SmartDV’s USIM Verification IP is a comprehensive solution for verifying the Universal Subscriber Identity Module application, the secure smart card application residing on the UICC that identifies subscribers and enables authentication across 3G, 4G, and 5G mobile networks. Fully compliant with 3GPP TS 31.102 V19.4.0 and ETSI TS 102 221, it supports complete verification of USIM Master and Slave components across specific command parameters, file structures, Elementary File (EF) contents, security functions, and the application protocol used on the interface between Master and Slave, including both T=0 asynchronous half-duplex character transmission and T=1 asynchronous half-duplex block transmission.

SmartDV’s USIM VIP supports UVM, SystemVerilog, and Verilog, and integrates seamlessly into diverse verification environments. It is simulator-independent and compatible with all leading EDA simulators, providing flexibility across simulation platforms.

With complete smart card session function verification, AUTHENTICATE and optional GET IDENTITY command support, comprehensive protocol checking, constraints randomization, built-in functional coverage, and a complete test suite, SmartDV’s USIM VIP enables verification teams to thoroughly validate USIM interface designs for mobile equipment, cellular modems, embedded UICC controllers, and any device requiring compliance with the current 3GPP USIM application specification across 3G, 4G, and 5G networks.

  • Complete Verification Infrastructure – Provides a full test suite covering all 3GPP TS 31.102 specification features, built-in functional coverage analysis, constraints randomization, status counters for bus events, and callbacks in transmitter, receiver, and monitor for user-defined data processing and protocol and timing violation notification.
