SmartDV’s LPDDR4 Controller IP is a silicon-proven, high-performance memory controller solution purpose-built for mobile, automotive, and high-performance embedded SoCs requiring efficient, low-power access to LPDDR4 and LPDDR4X memory devices. Fully compliant with JEDEC JESD209-4E and DFI v4.0/v5.0 specifications, it delivers high-bandwidth, low-latency memory control with support for device densities up to 32GB across x8 and x16 device configurations and all LPDDR4 speed grades.

Engineered to maximize memory subsystem performance, the controller supports up to 16 AXI ports with data widths up to 512 bits, QoS-based in-port arbitration, multi-port arbitration, and advanced transaction reordering for optimal throughput across concurrent memory access scenarios. Its comprehensive feature set including Data Bus Inversion, CRC for read and write operations, multi-rank support, and built-in self-test memory diagnostics makes it a complete, production-ready solution for the most demanding mobile and automotive memory subsystem designs.

Built for design flexibility and silicon efficiency, the IP core is highly configurable for both ASIC and FPGA implementations, with a strong focus on area optimization, power management, and peak performance. Its parameterized architecture, user-programmable page policy, and flexible host interface options enable fast integration and confident design bring-up across a wide range of process nodes and target applications.
