SmartDV’s CoaXPress Verification IP is a comprehensive solution for verifying the CoaXPress interface standard, an asymmetric high-speed point-to-point serial communication standard for the transmission of video, images, and data over coaxial cables in professional and industrial machine vision applications. Fully compliant with CoaXPress v2.1 and backward compatible with CXP v2.0 and v1.1.1, it supports complete verification of CXP Device and Host components across all three channel types, all defined downlink bit rates from 1.25 Gbps to 12.5 Gbps, all video formats and color formats supported by the CXP v2.0 specification, Bootstrap register access, Unified Time Stamping, and Link Sharing.

SmartDV’s CoaXPress VIP supports UVM, SystemVerilog, and Verilog, and integrates seamlessly into diverse verification environments. It is simulator-independent and compatible with all leading EDA simulators, providing flexibility across simulation platforms.

With 8B/10B encoding, packet multiplexing from multiple streams, connection test facilities, comprehensive color format coverage across all standard pixel formats, complete Bootstrap register set verification, built-in functional coverage, and a complete test suite, SmartDV’s CoaXPress VIP enables verification teams to thoroughly validate CoaXPress interface designs for industrial inspection, scientific imaging, medical imaging, broadcast, and defense vision applications.

  • CXP v2.0 and v2.1 Feature Coverage – Supports multi-destination capability for single device to multiple host configurations, GenICam-compliant event packets, GenDC generic data container support as introduced in CXP v2.1, and CoaXPress over Fiber extension support.
