Overview

SmartDV’s USB4 Verification IP is designed to verify next-generation, high-speed USB interfaces that unify data, display, and power delivery across a single high-bandwidth protocol. Fully compliant with USB4 and USB4 Version 2.0 specifications, this VIP supports data rates up to 80 Gbps, enabling accurate validation of tunneling protocols (USB, DisplayPort, PCIe), connection management, bandwidth allocation, and protocol multiplexing.

The VIP supports major verification languages, including SystemVerilog and Verilog, and integrates seamlessly with UVM, OVM, and VMM methodologies. It is simulator-independent and compatible with all leading EDA vendors’ simulators, ensuring broad usability across simulation environments.

With configurable host, device, and hub agents, support for TBT3 (Thunderbolt 3) backward compatibility, built-in protocol checkers, LTSSM state machine validation, lane bonding, power management, and error injection, SmartDV’s USB4 VIP empowers verification teams to validate cutting-edge USB interfaces in high-performance computing, docking stations, mobile platforms, and peripheral devices.
