SmartDV’s Timer IP is a silicon-proven, fully featured programmable timer solution purpose-built for SoC designs requiring flexible, multi-channel timing, event generation, waveform synthesis, and PWM control across embedded, automotive, IoT, and industrial applications. Supporting 32 independent 32-bit timers with configurable counter widths, up and down counting modes, cascade operation for 64-bit counting, and a comprehensive operating mode set, it provides a versatile, production-ready timing peripheral for any SoC requiring precise, multi-channel timer management.

Designed for the practical timing requirements of modern embedded SoC designs, the IP supports Generate Mode for periodic pulse and square waveform generation, Capture Mode for external event timestamping and pulse width measurement, Cascade Mode for extended 64-bit counting, PWM Mode for motor control and LED dimming applications, and automatic reload with hold count capability.
