Overview

SmartDV’s SpaceFibre Verification IP is a comprehensive solution for verifying SpaceFibre, the ECSS very high-speed serial link and network technology designed specifically for onboard spacecraft data handling, payload data processing, and avionics communication requiring deterministic Quality of Service. Fully compliant with ECSS-E-ST-50-11C, it supports complete verification of SpaceFibre Transmitter and Receiver devices across data rates up to 5 Gb/s with 6.25 Gb/s data signalling rate, multi-lane configurations extending throughput beyond 20 Gb/s, full duplex point-to-point serial data communication, Virtual Channel and Broadcast Channel interfaces, and the complete six-layer protocol architecture spanning network, quality, multi-lane, lane, physical, and management layers.

SmartDV’s SpaceFibre VIP supports UVM, SystemVerilog, and Verilog, and integrates seamlessly into diverse verification environments. It is simulator-independent and compatible with all leading EDA simulators, providing flexibility across simulation platforms.

With comprehensive retry capability, link error recovery, scrambler and descrambler support, 8b/10b encoding, 16-bit CRC, 7-bit sequence numbering, comprehensive error injection and detection, built-in functional coverage, and a complete compliance test suite, SmartDV’s SpaceFibre VIP enables verification teams to thoroughly validate SpaceFibre interface designs for synthetic aperture radar, hyperspectral imaging instruments, mass memory units, and high-data-rate spacecraft payload and avionics applications.
