SmartDV’s SMPTE SDI Verification IP is a comprehensive solution for verifying the Serial Digital Interface, the SMPTE standard family for uncompressed broadcast video, audio, and ancillary data transport across professional television production, post-production, and distribution infrastructure. Fully compliant with SMPTE ST 2083 24G-SDI and backward compatible with SMPTE ST 2082-1:2015 (12G-SDI), ST 2081-1:2015 (6G-SDI), ST 425-1:2011 (3G-SDI), ST 292-1:2011 (1.5G-SDI), and the complete chain of legacy SD-SDI and HD-SDI standards, it supports complete verification of SMPTE SDI Transmitter and Receiver devices across dual-standard 270 Mbps and 1.5 Gbps interfaces, 10-bit, 20-bit, and 40-bit parallel interfaces, serialization and deserialization, NRZI channel encoding, and dynamic speed switching across SD, HD, 3G, 6G, 12G, and 24G operating modes.

SmartDV’s SMPTE SDI VIP supports UVM, SystemVerilog, and Verilog, and integrates seamlessly into diverse verification environments. It is simulator-independent and compatible with all leading EDA simulators, providing flexibility across simulation platforms.
