Ethernet L2 Switch IP
Design IP
Overview

SmartDV’s Ethernet Layer 2 (L2) Switch IP is a silicon-proven, high-performance solution designed to enable efficient packet switching and traffic management across a wide range of networking applications. Fully compliant with IEEE 802.3-2022 specifications, it supports full-duplex and half-duplex 10M/100M/1G Ethernet, along with high-speed 2.5G/10G/25G/40G/50G/100G interfaces, making it ideal for enterprise, automotive, industrial, and data center systems.

Designed for flexibility, the IP core is highly configurable to meet specific design requirements, supporting both ASIC and FPGA implementations while optimizing for area, power, and performance. It includes advanced features such as MAC address learning, VLAN tagging (IEEE 802.1Q), flow control, and support for MII and other standard interfaces, delivering a robust foundation for scalable, high-throughput Ethernet switching designs.
