Overview

SmartDV’s Ethernet 800G MAC IP Core is a high-throughput, feature-rich solution built to support next-generation data communication needs across AI/ML clusters, hyperscale data centers, and cloud infrastructure. Supporting 800 Gigabit Ethernet based on IEEE 802.3ck and 802.3df standards, it enables reliable, low-latency, and scalable Ethernet connectivity at unprecedented data rates.

The IP core includes support for features such as full-duplex operation, programmable interframe gap, VLAN tagging, error detection, and flow control mechanisms including pause frame and priority-based flow control (PFC). It is optimized for handling jumbo frames, bursty traffic, and complex Ethernet packet processing at ultra-high speeds.

Designed for flexibility, the IP core is highly configurable to meet specific design requirements, supporting both ASIC and FPGA implementations while optimizing for area, power, and performance. With seamless integration into standard PHY interfaces such as 800G CMAC and CGMII, the 800G MAC IP enables robust and scalable networking architectures ready for the next wave of high-bandwidth applications.
