Overview

SmartDV’s Ethernet 2.5G MAC IP Core is a silicon-proven, high-performance solution designed for a wide range of networking applications including industrial Ethernet, consumer electronics, and embedded systems. Supporting full-duplex operation and compliant with IEEE 802.3 specifications, the MAC IP ensures efficient and reliable packet transmission at 2.5 Gigabits per second.

The IP core includes essential features such as programmable interframe gap, jumbo frame support, frame filtering, VLAN tagging, and checksum offloading for improved data integrity. It interfaces seamlessly with standard PHYs through GMII and XGMII, allowing smooth integration into existing Ethernet subsystems.

Designed for flexibility, the IP core is highly configurable to meet specific design requirements, supporting both ASIC and FPGA implementations while optimizing for area, power, and performance.
