Overview

SmartDV’s Ethernet 10G MAC IP Core is a silicon-proven solution built for high-speed, low-latency Ethernet communication in networking, storage, and embedded systems. Compliant with IEEE 802.3ae, it supports full-duplex 10 Gigabit Ethernet operation and features frame filtering, VLAN tagging, checksum insertion and verification, and jumbo frame support.

The IP core delivers robust performance for both standard and custom Ethernet-based designs, supporting seamless integration with 10G PCS and PHY layers through XGMII interface. It also includes support for IEEE 802.1Q features and configurable statistics counters for traffic monitoring and diagnostics.

Designed for flexibility, the IP core is highly configurable to meet specific design requirements, supporting both ASIC and FPGA implementations while optimizing for area, power, and performance. Its proven deployment in silicon makes it a reliable choice for performance-driven applications in enterprise, industrial, and telecom networks.
